The Mighty Mississinewa and OPS welcomes athletes and spectators alike to join them at Miami State Recreation Area on the beautiful banks of Mississinewa Lake, Peru Indiana. Triathletes from around the mid-west gather to race on one of the most scenic race courses in Indiana all in support of Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House and the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services. Whether you are a novice triathlete or a seasoned veteran, a weekend warrior or a fan of one, join us for a beautiful day of racing.

Fees: Individual Price: $40 for Sprints, $50 for Olympics. Early bird add $10 after May 31.

Free post race dinner afterward for participants.
The t-shirt cutoff date is August 31 to guarantee you receive a free race t-shirt. You can choose to upgrade your shirt to a Dry Fit for an additional $7.00.
During registration you can choose to enter into the elite wave which will be the 1st swim wave launched. Entering this wave will classify you as an elite participant and you will forfeit your eligibility for age group awards but you will be eligible for overall awards.
Grand prize awards presented to female and male 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place elite winners. First place awards given to five year age groups male and female winners.
Event Festival and Camping
Athletes and their families are welcome to camp near the start/finish in the designated youth primitive camping area for FREE. There is no cost to camp and area selection is first come first serve. There will be limited fire rings available and picnic tables for camping use. We ask that all guests respect the area by cleaning their camp site and ensuring no trash is left behind. Post-Race Party
We will hold a post-race cookout 10:00 a.m. on race day, Saturday September 11, 2020. Athletes eat free; additional meals can be purchased by spectators.
All proceeds from this event are donated to the Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services and utilized to support park services and programs at Mississinewa Lake, Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). A portion of the funds are also dedicated to the Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House in Fort Wayne IN, a caring place for families of critically ill children.
