At Breakaway Bike & Fitness, we believe in great customer service which starts with our knowledgeable and friendly staff. We are passionate about cycling and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
We have been serving North Central Indiana’s cycling communities including: Rochester, Wabash, Warsaw, Logansport, Huntington, Kokomo, Marion, Peru, Plymouth, Lafayette, Winamac, North Manchester and their surrounding areas for almost 40 years.
Company History
Breakaway Bike & Fitness Shop has been located in Peru, IN since 1989. Prior to 1989 it was called the Hive. In January of 2012, the shop was relocated to its current location in downtown Peru. Prior to that, it had been located at 154 N Grant Street for about 30 years. The current owners purchased the store in January 2019 and kept the Breakaway name.
MEET OUR OWNER
Mike Inglehearn - General Manager & Owner
Mike began his career in the cycling industry in 2001 when owned and operated a small bike shop in Rochester, Indiana for nine years. Prior to purchasing Breakaway in 2019, Mike operated CNC machines at Biomet in Warsaw, Indiana for 19 years. He has thoroughly enjoyed his career change and loves the bicycle industry and community it creates. He considers it a privilege to provide for the needs of North Central Indiana’s cycling communities.
